Privacy policy

Effective 3 November 2026.

This policy covers the apps Pebble Bench publishes on Google Play. Each app has its own section below saying exactly what it uses and what happens to it. An app's section is added here before that app is released.

Location services

Apps that use your location get it from your device's location services, which on most Android phones are provided by Google Play services. How those services work, such as whether they use Wi-Fi and mobile networks to improve accuracy, is set in your device settings and covered by that provider's privacy policy.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with the date it takes effect.

Pocket Avionics

Effective 22 October 2026.

In short

Pocket Avionics collects nothing. Everything it measures and records stays on your device, and the app has no permission to use the internet.

Location

With your permission, Pocket Avionics uses your device's location for ground speed, track, true heading, GPS altitude and the track in recordings. It is used on the device only and is never sent anywhere. The app works without it.

Sensors

The rotation, motion and pressure sensors drive the instruments. Their readings are used on the device only.

Recordings and settings

Recorded flights and your settings are kept in the app's private storage on your device. They are not backed up to the cloud. Uninstalling the app deletes them, and you can delete a recording at any time.

Sharing

A recording leaves your device only when you export it as CSV or GPX and choose an app to share it with. What that app does with it is up to that app.

No accounts, ads or tracking

There are no accounts, advertising, analytics or crash reporting, and no data is sold or shared with anyone.

Children

Pocket Avionics is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will appear in the app and in its listing, with the date it takes effect.
